Flanders-Hall, Patricia Ann Gayou Age 77, of Plymouth, passed away on December 21, 2014. Born in Cloquet, Minnesota, Pat spent her formative years in Brainerd. After graduating from the College of St. Catherine and raising her children, Pat earned a Master's degree in psychotherapy from Antioch College.
As a therapist and school counselor, Pat worked with and advocated for adolescents in independent high schools in Minnesota, Florida, Ohio and Michigan, and was especially committed to education for young women. Subsequently, Pat had a private counseling practice in Michigan and served as the school counselor and community service coordinator at Breck School in Golden Valley.
In her retirement, Pat pursued her passions for reading, writing, gardening and genealogical study. As a wife, mother and grandmother, Pat was devoted to her family.
In addition to her husband, Warren Hall, with whom she shared 30 years of marriage, Pat is survived by her brother, Robert, and sisters, Jean and Nancy, her five children and their spouses, Stephen and Nava, Michael and Mary Ann, Sarah, Kathleen and Whitney, John and Sheila, and her five grandchildren, Josephine, Ethan, Isabella, Zoe and Erin. Her strong, intelligent and kind spirit will live on through all of them.
A private ceremony will be held at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis. A memorial service open to all will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 11 AM at the Chapel of the Holy Spirit, Breck School, 123 Ottawa Avenue North in Golden Valley, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be given to the Park Nicollet Frauenshuh Cancer Center.
